He stared absent-mindedly at the ceiling, having already given up trying to sleep long ago. Such sleepless nights were quite frequent given the tension between him and his wife.....as if the tensions of his professional life were not enough! Look at her snoring away peacefully after robbing my peace of mind, he thought to himself as he turned and looked at her with contempt. He got up and fixed himself a drink in the hope of easing some of the tension....
Staring at the half empty glass, he thought of all the good times....the times spent in her company....Even after so many years, her memory did not fail to bring a faint smile on his face...She was his best friend, perhaps no one else was closer to him than her.....He loved her beyond limits, but never had the courage to get down on his knees and do the needful.... There was this fear of losing her...perhaps she did not think of him that way....What if, he thought to himself....what if I had proposed to her!! Does she even think about me now, he wondered....perhaps not...She would be way too busy with her own life...Its been what...some five, maybe six years since we last met.....How time flies.....
Miles away, she looked out of the window staring into the darkness...thinking about him! What if.......she thought to herself!

Sawan the love season :D
Please take a look at this absolutely fantabulous piece of musical creation....Wonder how I missed this one!! Lyrical marvel indeed....
"Maine pyar kiya tumhe reason se..
Bas love hi hai reason...

Reminds me of how dogs go crazy during their mating season :)!!
PS:- Do not miss this one !! That makes it two awesome videos for the day :)
PPS:- The second video is way too civilized and long for Somani(the moron with a ladylike first name, who leaves these great comments) to appreciate it!! so here is another lyrical marvel for Somani....also notice the amazing choreography and the expressions of the dancers in the background..priceless!!
"Ab na milahiyein kauno ladki se nazariya..

Natkhat
"Uncle, Uncle ..please suggest a name for my new doll", asked his niece while he was engrossed in reading the newspaper.
"Call him Natkhat"..he answered absent mindedly.
"What!! who names a doll Natkhat....please come up with a good one!!" ,exclaimed the kid.
"How about calling him Noddy? You enjoy reading his books, right?",suggested his nephew..A suggestion which was taken whole heartedly by the little girl.
Seriously, who names a doll Natkhat, he thought to himself. But the name sure did seem to ring a bell. Was it the name of a pet, or a toy maybe.... Not that he remembered anything by that name..
"Bhaisahab, does the name Natkhat sound familiar to you? I wonder how I came up with it all of a sudden...", he enquired turning towards his elder brother. "Why, it was that doll of yours...the talking doll..remember? The one which you liked so much..you kept talking to it all the time!"
And then it all came back to him. Natkhat was a gift from his uncle on his tenth birthday. It was a pretty large doll, clad in a blue shirt and a black pant with a weird, rather depressing smile on its face. But the most important thing was that it could talk, or repeat what was recorded in it. On pressing one of its palms, it would record the voice....and repeated it on pressing the other.
He used to be rather sad ever since they moved to this new town....Leaving all the friends behind was difficult for him and what made it even more difficult was the fact the kids at school took an instant dislike to him. But with Natkhat coming into his life, things started to get better. In Natkhat he found a companion that he so badly needed. He would discuss all kinds of things with Natkhat, and Natkhat would never share his secrets with others. Natkhat used to tell him fantastic tales about fairies, and kings, and demons, and heroes.... This doll was so much more interesting than any of the friends that he ever had....But no one would believe him when he told them about how Natkhat narrated these incredible tales and cracked such funny jokes. Even Natkhat would not speak in front of others....Perhaps Natkhat was shy and liked to speak only to him.....And so he would lock himself up in his room all day long and spend the time talking to Natkhat....
Initially, his parents were relieved with the changes which the doll had brought about. But slowly they started to get worried as he would do nothing except talking to Natkhat. On being forced to go out and play with other kids, he would sneak back into his room as soon as possible. So, in order to divert his attention, they brought home a dog... But he never liked the dog, and still spent almost all of his time with Natkhat. And then one day he came back home and rushed to his room only to find that Natkhat was not there. He frantically searched for the doll everywhere but it was nowhere to be found... Finally, he found Natkhat in the backyard..torn apart by the dog. He stared at Natkhat in dismay....took him back to the room and tried talking to him but all in vain...Natkhat would not answer him back ..the dog killed Natkhat! He cried and cried for so many days....And then he put Natkhat in a big plastic box and buried him under the old Neem tree in the backyard... He even wrote a letter in which he expressed how much he would miss Natkhat and put it inside the box for Natkhat to read....
His chain of thoughts was interrupted when Bhabhi called him for breakfast. What a pathetic loser I was as a child, imagined all kind of weird stuff and could manage no better friends than a lame doll, he thought to himself and smiled. As he looked out, his gaze fell on this Neem tree and it was then that the idea of digging out the box struck him. He thought it would be funny to read the foolish letter of his (if it was still intact) , and maybe Natkhat would talk to him again after having read his rather emotional letter....he laughed at this little joke of his and went for the breakfast. As soon as he was done with the breakfast he rushed towards the backyard and set out to dig the spot under the tree...It did not take much digging to unearth the plastic box.... With a strange excitement he started removing the lid....He flinched and threw the box away in terror, letting out a gasp followed by a loud shriek , while his eyes were fixed on the ground where the half open box lay with a human skeleton inside it, about the size of a doll !!!

Looking around
Sometimes I feel like playing a game. A game called "looking around", wherein I do precisely what the name suggests. I look around myself. Look at the people, their joys, their woes, their highs, their lows (My Fair lady anyone?), their pains, their sorrow .... A major aspect of the game being that I am not emotionally attached to any one of them. Their pains dont hurt me nor make me want to help them. Their joys dont make me jealous of them....more like watching a TV serial..only with the characters being real human beings and the story being their real lives.
In the game, I have the power to read their minds.. to know exactly what they are thinking. I have the knowledge to decide what is the best step for them to take....But I dont tell them what is good for them. And therein lies the pleasure(sadistic some might think!!)...To let them act in the way they wish to....To laugh and scorn at their wrong decisions, to applaud the correct ones...Doing all of this silently...not to let them know that they are being used for my entertainment! To let them think that there is actually a purpose to their lives..while the only purpose they serve is to provide me with an occasional diversion!
And then I think that I am not powerful enough to play this game....perhaps this game is not meant for me! But what if God(!!) created us because he felt a sudden, impulsive urge to "look around"! I wonder if this really was the purpose we human beings served, and if we knew it...how many of us would then like to take the pains of actually living through the whole of our lives!!

The dream
She woke up with a start and looked around for a diverson in order to forget about the terrible dream. It was a pleasant day and she liked the way in which rays of the sun fell on the walls, on the mirrors...getting reflected around.. making picturesque patterns. Holding his picture to her bosom, she sat down thinking of the beautiful time they spent together, until the day he went away. Went away just like that.. did not even bother to say a few words to her. But she was particularly optimistic that he would come back today. She decided to cook some chicken with thick gravy....She started preparing it..half smiling to herself thinking of his reaction on finding his favourite dish prepared to celebrate his return...
Not once did she think of complaining about his absence...or about the way in which he left her. So much was her dedication towards him, that the idea of his coming back seemed to alleviate all pain. She was ready to leave her past behind...and start all over again. While the chicken was getting cooked, she decided to prepare some halwa.. he loved it so much! It would be a perfect day.. She sat down by the window and looked outside...waiting for him to return...remembering the old times. Lost in the thoughts, time flew for her...and soon the sun was about to set. In a way she thought...it was like the evening in her life after pleasant period of daylight which she had spent in his company!! She felt hungry.... reluctantly ate some of the food...and came back to sit by the window...
Soon it was dark and she fell asleep by the window. And then she dreamt...it was the exact same dream that she dreamt again and again after he had left! She dreamt of a normal day in her life....he was supposed to return that day from one of hs official visits! She prepared the chicken and the halwa....and went to the market to buy some grocery. It was on her way back that she saw him sitting on the backseat of a black mercedes, embracing a lady and fondling her with lust in his eyes. And then it was all in frames..not a continuous dream.....she could see herself in agony...too dumbfounded to cry!! She then recieved him with all love and tenderness when he came back.. and when he was finally asleep...that knife and those multiple stabs...were enough to lay him to sleep for ever. And she buried him in the backyard !!
This was more than she could take and she woke up with a start....Beads of sweat all over her face!! What if the dream is actually the truth, she thought to herself. No no..it can't be!! She loved him so much....such things don't happen to happy couples! Certainly she had been watching lots of thrillers of late and it was all because of that.....She looked out of the window and once again hope seemed to make her forget all about the terrible dream! He would certainly come back today....and she got down to work again! She never cared enough about the dream to look into the backyard, where the mud was still loose because of all the digging that she once did in order to bury him!!

Monty Pythonization of real life.
I was watching this
A: Hello Sir! How can I help you today?
B: I am looking for a good car.
A: A car, Sir?
B: Yup!
A: Why don't you ride a horse instead!
B (thinking of it as a lame joke and smiling): Huh? A horse would be nice, but you see I need a car.
A: But why would someone buy a car when he can have a horse instead. Its so much more economical and then there is absolutely no pollution, well except for an occasional fart maybe.
B(trying to come straight to the point): How much would this one cost me?
A: But then horses fart every now and then. Not that your riding the horse is causing it to fart. Maybe a fart or two more than what it usually does, still nothing when compared to the pollution by a car! I would say hundred farting horses better than one polluting car.
B (obviously thinking that he is taking the joke a bit too far and slightly pissed but still faking a smile): So much for our little game. Now some serious business if you please. So I was asking about this black one....
A(cutting him short): Yes but horses do shit a lot and horse shit is not a very good thing to have lying around in your backyard. It smells real bad and is not particularly useful. You could probably use it as manure, though I for my part have not heard of anyone using horse shit for this purpose. But still whats a little shit here and there! Horse is still a better buy.
B(obviously pissed): I dont have the entire day to waste. Can you please cut short this lame joke of yours so that we can talk about the cars for a change.
A: Ohh I almost forgot. What about the horse peeing. Well now that I think of it, you can always train the horse to pee on your plants and then you need not water them. Come on pee is just water with some minerals. And think of it no oiling, no servicing and when it does leak,or lets say excrete, whatever comes out can be put to other uses. And when a car leaks you know how bad a mess is created, and how much cleaning is required. So...
B(very very pissed but still thinking of giving it one last try before leaving for gud): Nothing gets through to you does it? If this is your idea of having fun, then you have seriously chosen the wrong person to have fun with.
A: And then you can leave the horse grazing in someone else's backyard, so no expenditure on feeding it. With the gas prices rising the way they are these days, horse is certainly a much better buy.
B(#@@!!##): Wtf, I think I have changed my mind. Where can I get a horse!!
A: Are you serious? Who would buy a horse in this day and age when you have cars running at much faster speeds than the horses do....................................................
Monty Python flick the other day, when this crazy idea struck me. What if we had characters from Monty Python amongst us! Yes actual people who think and act just like most of them in the Monty Python flicks. Just imagine a normal conversation between say a car salesman "A" and a customer "B", where A is not your normal salesman he has been Monty Pythonized. So B comes in looking to buy a car and is received by A.A: Hello Sir! How can I help you today?
B: I am looking for a good car.
